# Recipe Highlight: Darling Orange® and Hazelnut Oatmeal
November 20, 2019 | By: The Darling Dish
As the temperatures start to drop, ‘tis the season for cozy comfort food! There is nothing like a slow morning, curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a warm bowl of oatmeal--but not just any boring bowl of oats. We have a [new recipe](https://www.lgssales.com/recipes/darling-orange-hazelnut-oatmeal/) featuring Darling Oranges® that is sure to become a new favorite.
These [Darling Orange® and Hazelnut Oats](https://www.lgssales.com/recipes/darling-orange-hazelnut-oatmeal/) start with a base of dairy-free milk for extra creaminess without the heaviness of dairy. Then, the addition of Darling Orange® zest adds a bright flavor that is rounded out by toasty hazelnuts. It’s a bit reminiscent of that chocolate hazelnut spread (you know the one) we’ve been known to eat by the spoonful. Oh, and we definitely can’t forget about the cinnamon! Nothing says the holiday season like the smell of this sweet spice.
By using instant oats, the cooking takes next to no time, so you can still enjoy this indulgent yet healthy breakfast on a busy weekday morning. Plus, it’s naturally sweetened with fresh squeezed Darling Orange® juice and maple syrup, so it won’t cause a sugar crash like that muffin would.
Here’s to hoping a slow morning is in your near future. For a sweet drink to enjoy with breakfast, try our [Darling Clementines® Mulled Cider](https://www.lgssales.com/recipes/darling-clementines-mulled-cider/)!
