# Pack Your Bags, We're Going on a Trip! Around the World with Darling Clementines®
April 3, 2019 | By: The Darling Dish
You know Darling Clementines® from the sands of Morocco to the trees of Peru, now they’re going on a new adventure - YOURS.
With over 360 farms around the world and temperatures warming up for Spring, we’re ready for a vacation. Come with us as we virtually travel with you to each country that our Darling Clementines® are grown! First stop - South America:
## Peru
Peru is known for its diverse climates, landscapes, and the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu. With the Amazon rain forest to the East and Pacific Ocean to the West, the valleys near the Andes Mountains remain one of the best growing regions in the world for our Darling Clementines®. Let’s go a little further south to our second country...
## Chile
Chile is one of those countries that we can’t stop talking about! (Look at this picture, how could we not?) Just like Peru, Chile has a wide variety of climates depending on what area of the 2,600 mile long country you’re looking at. Chile may be the second longest country in the world, but it’s at the top of our list of citrus groves to have such a breathtaking view! Let’s now hop across the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean...
## Spain
On the Iberian Peninsula, Spanish citrus trees blossom around Madrid, Barcelona, and Catalonia. The groves, however, reside in some of the best soil in the world. Quite a few Spanish citrus groves are actually pruned by hand instead of machine to ensure the highest quality Darling Clementines® reach your grocery store. Our last stop is on the southern side of the Mediterranean Sea onto the sands of Africa…
## Morocco
Though Morocco might be known as the setting for the classic Hollywood movie *Casablanca* or a camelback ride through the desert, the Northernmost point of the country has the perfect climate for citrus groves. During our visit, we were so excited to see how such an exotic country like Morocco is helping our sweet little Darling Clementines® get to you!
Phew, that was a long trip through our growing regions! Have you entered the [Around the World with Darling Clementines® Sweepstakes](https://blog.lgssales.com/around-the-world) yet? Enter NOW for your chance to win accessories for your next adventure!

Born out of love for fresh produce and a desire to bring the world's best tasting citrus to U.S. shoppers, LGS Specialty Sales, Ltd. started as a one man operation that would soon shape the future of fresh produce. The first imported clementines from Spain arrived in the U.S. market nearly 30 years ago.
