To us, Mother’s Day is one of the sweetest days of the year. Not only are moms our biggest cheerleaders, they’re also one of the few people that we can call at anytime, anywhere for anything. This is the one day that we can show her the appreciation she deserves.
Our mothers have cooked us breakfast countless times, why not do the same for her? Not only is it a chance to show your culinary skills, it’s a way to show mom how much you care!
Here are a few of our favorite recipes for the perfect breakfast in bed moms dream about:
A recipe as sweet as mama… This clementine cake is perfect for the mom that prefers a sweet treat (such as a scone or pastry) to start off the day. A slice (or two) with a Darling Clementines® slice on top and voila - breakfast is served!
This recipe is for the detail-oriented mom that likes to dress up for brunch! Skip the avocado toast and add a little green to the brunch classic Eggs Benedict. Our Suavo Avocados® add another layer of flavor to brighten up for Spring (just don’t mention the “cleaning” part).
Mom not a big breakfast eater? Surprise her with creamy, zesty overnight oats! Not only is this a “dump in and go” recipe, it’s easily dressed up with a fun spoon or mason jar. Top with a few Darling Clementines® slices for an even bigger citrus burst.
No matter how you choose to show your mom some love, the most important thing is making the effort for her. It’s the least we can do after all the bake sales she cooked for, homework assignments she helped us with and recitals that she had to sit through!
