3 Ways to Soak Up the End of Summer with Citrus

August 3, 2022 | By: The Darling Dish

The long, hot days of summer are here, but we will be trading bathing suits and flip-flops for scarves and boots before you know it, Darling! Have you finished everything on your Darling Summer Bucket List? If you haven’t gotten around to everything you had planned, we’ve gathered some of the best ways to ensure that you soak up every last moment of summer… with Darling Citrus®  of course!

DIY Popsicles

Beat the summer heat with homemade citrus popsicles! This refreshing sweet treat doubles as a fun pass-time for kids and adults alike. Start with a base of fresh squeezed Darling Orange®  juice and then add in extra ingredients of your choice! A few ideas include

  • Sliced oranges
  • Clementine pieces
  • Berries
  • Halved grapes
  • Lemon juice
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Mint leaves
  • Honey

3 Different Types of Lemonade

Nothing says summer like homemade lemonade! Make a few batches of  3 Different Types of Lemonade before summer is gone. The kids can use these in a lemonade stand, or they can be enjoyed after a day spent outside. Feel free to get creative and add in additional fruits, spices, or herbs of your choice to personalize these beverages!

Enjoy the Simple Pleasures

Sometimes the magic of summertime is just about enjoying the simple things in life! Grab a book or magazine and your favorite citrus snack combo and make the most of the warm weather while it’s still here.

  • Enjoy a citrus snack outside by the pool!
  • Pack an umbrella and a blanket to enjoy a snack on the lawn!

How do you plan to soak up the rest of your summer, Darling?
