Written by Darling Dish | June 11, 2020

Are you starting to feel summer in the air? If you’re anything like us, with school wrapping up, and warmer weather emerging, we want to spend more time outside soaking up the sunshine and letting the kids be free. Whether you’re feeling like a pool party, or a hangout on the patio, we’ve got a roundup of fun avo-kiddo crafts to keep everyone entertained.

Avocado Ice Cream

This recipe for avocado ice cream is dairy-free and easy enough for small hands to help make - not to mention a sneaky way to get them to eat something with more nutrients than regular ice cream! We recommend cooling down with these poolside, or after a good run on the slip-n-slide. 💦

Avocado Boats

A little healthy family competition can be fun! Take these DIY boats down to a pond or lake near you and see who’s boat goes the farthest - may the best avo-captain win! 😉

Avocado Dye

Did you know that avocados are just one of many natural sources of fabric dye? Prep a few natural color dyes and set your kids up on your patio with a white t-shirt for a fun afternoon activity!

Avocado Art

Dish up a snack and let the kids go wild with their own imagination. All you need are baked avocado skins (use what’s leftover from your snack prep 😉) and all the paint colors their hearts desire!

Avocado Tree

Next time you have an avocado pit, don’t throw it away! Use it as an opportunity for a little science experiment and try growing your own tree.

And if you try any of these please share the fun with us @DarlingCitrus!
