# Add Zest to Your Fright Fest
October 22, 2019 | By: The Darling Dish
Costumes are fun and all, but let’s be real--the best part of Halloween is the sweet treats and spooky eats! And, while we love a good candy bar, coming off the sugar high is less than desirable. Darling Clementines® are not only a sweet solution to your candy cravings, but there are endless possibilities to get creative with your kiddos. Here are a few of our favorites!
It just so happens that clementines look a *lot* like pumpkins, so we’re taking full advantage. Skip the messy pumpkin carving and make clem-o-lanterns (we’re officially coining this term) or mummies. Use them to decorate your table, or stuff them with fun appetizers!
Speaking of appetizers, how about these spooky blackberry citrus goat cheese crostinis? And we can’t forget about the drinks, like these Darling Lemon® spritzers. Go with a citrus theme for your holiday party and add a little zest to your fright fest!
Don’t wait for trick or treating to get crafty; start the day with an orange smoothie bowl. Start with a simple orange smoothie, add in a little food dye, and swirl into a scream-worthy breakfast!
We can’t wait to see how you get ghouly with Darling Citrus® this Halloween! Be sure to tag us in your creations on social!

Born out of love for fresh produce and a desire to bring the world's best tasting citrus to U.S. shoppers, LGS Specialty Sales, Ltd. started as a one man operation that would soon shape the future of fresh produce. The first imported clementines from Spain arrived in the U.S. market nearly 30 years ago.
